Tickets & refunds
Who you are buying from
Desi Dhamaal is organised and its tickets are sold by Harshitha Alla, a private individual based in Stockholm. This is a not-for-profit event: there is no company behind it. You can reach the organiser at [email protected].
What a ticket is
A ticket admits one person to the edition of Desi Dhamaal it was bought for, on that date only. Entry is all ages, and we may ask for photo ID at the door. A ticket does not reserve a particular seat or place.
Each ticket carries a QR code that is scanned once at the door. The first scan admits; a code that has already been scanned will not admit a second person. If you pass a ticket on to a friend, that is fine, but whoever arrives first with the code gets in, so only pass it to someone you trust.
Price and fees
Tickets are sold in batches, cheapest batch first. When a batch sells out the next price applies automatically; the price you see at checkout is the price you pay. On top of the ticket price, checkout adds the card processing fee that the payment provider charges on the order, shown as its own line before you pay. All prices are in Swedish kronor.
Getting your tickets
Tickets arrive by email within a few minutes of payment. If nothing arrives, check your spam folder first, then use the re-send page - enter the address you paid with and the tickets are sent again. If that still does not work, write to [email protected] from the address you paid with and we will sort it out. Nobody who has paid is turned away at the door because an email went missing.
Refunds and changes
Tickets are not refundable and not exchangeable if you simply cannot come, because each sale takes a place that someone else could have had. If you cannot make it, you are welcome to pass your ticket on to someone else at no cost.
If something has gone wrong - you were charged twice, you were charged and got no ticket, or you bought the wrong number of tickets - write to [email protected] and we will fix it. Duplicate and mistaken charges are always refunded.
The 14-day right of withdrawal that normally applies to things bought online does not apply here: under the Swedish Distance Contracts Act it does not cover tickets to a leisure event on a fixed date, and this is one. What you get instead is the cancellation and postponement protection below.
If the event is cancelled, postponed or changed
Cancelled. If the event is cancelled, every ticket holder is refunded the full amount they paid, including the card fee, to the card they paid with. We will email everyone who bought a ticket at the address they bought with. You do not need to apply for the refund.
Postponed or moved. If the event is moved to another date or another venue, your ticket stays valid for the new date without you doing anything. If the new date does not work for you, email [email protected] within 14 days of the announcement and you will be refunded the full amount you paid.
Programme changes. The line-up, the running order and the timings can change. A change to who is performing is not on its own a reason for a refund, as long as the event itself goes ahead.
Refunds go back to the card used for the purchase and are usually visible within five to ten banking days, depending on the bank. We do not refund travel, accommodation or any other cost around the event.
At the door
We can refuse entry, or ask someone to leave, if they are abusive, unsafe, or clearly intoxicated, and in that case the ticket is not refunded. Look after each other: the point of this night is that everybody can enjoy it.
